CHAPTER 15

The Multi-Timeframe Playbook

Before you open a position: which timeframe gives context, which one you mark zones on, which one you enter on and which one you take profit on. This chapter makes it a fixed sequence.

15.1Six Checks Before Any Position

Run these six in order. Any "no" stops the process; there is no point continuing.
Six checks from bias to risk
Fig. 15.1 Six checks from bias to risk
  1. HTF bias: which way is the draw on daily or 4H?
  2. Range position: premium or discount right now?
  3. Liquidity: which pool was just swept?
  4. Zone: which array, and what are its exact boundaries?
  5. Trigger: has an MSS with FVG printed on 5m or 1m?
  6. Risk: stop, size, TP1/TP2 and the R multiple?

15.2Which Timeframe Does What

The bias, zone and trigger matrix
Fig. 15.2 The bias, zone and trigger matrix
Each timeframe has one job. Using one chart for bias, zone and trigger at the same time is how decisions become random.

15.3The Confirmation Stack

Four boxes: context, location, liquidity, trigger
Fig. 15.3 Four boxes: context, location, liquidity, trigger
One empty box means no setup. Remembering this drops you from five or six "opportunities" a day to one or two - and that is what raises the win rate.
